do i have to go first? aw, shucks...
well, if anyone is interested or needs to make synthetic dreads for a costume or general fun, the Red Bank, Sale Creek, and Lee Hwy Dollar Generals have excellent fake hair...
they're in the kid's aisle, packaged as little girls' headbands with hair attached, in the colours yellow, lavender, and bright pink. $1 each, and you can unravel the braid on the headband and use it too.
and, if you're looking to make wool dreads: Genuine Purl on market street (across the street from the Durty Nelly's parking lot) has some pre-packaged undyed wool roving...or, you can buy the natural coloured Magnum yarn and dye it with koolaid. i like the magnum, because there's less felting involved...

on a second note that i forgot...
if you need to buy premade dreads locally, the( http://www.spirithalloween.com/ ) Spirit Halloween Superstore off of Hixson pike has three different styles (2 w/ black bases, and one with blonde for $16 bucks a pair).
they're pretty nice. i really like mine...they're solid and not spongy, but they do wrinkle easily as a result of being in their packaging.
