Here is a quick (soon to be growing) list of cosplay and/or dressing up type events in the area for now through the end of October:

1. Hallowcon ( http://www.hallowcon.com )
paid, weekend convention, ending prior to actual halloween night..since halloween is on a monday this year.

2. episode III dvd release: midnight, october 31.

the chattooine people are going to be at media play, i think. right? can other people come? i better ask.

3. Creative Discovery Museum Monster Bash, October 21-22.

apparently they'll take your picture in your costume. i assume they do this for adults and kids alike? that place is awesome...

4. Boo at the Zoo, at Chattanooga Zoo.

henry the chimp and his cohorts will be hanging out for costume contests and the like. October 21-22, 28-29

5. Phantom of the Aqua Halloween Party at the Tennessee Aquarium.
costume stuff + candy + fish. October 28th, but i'm not sure if this is free or not, or open just to members.

6. Chattanooga anime club (via the yahoo groups) is having their halloween party on October 22nd. join the group to rsvp, or tell me if you're interested in going and i'll rsvp for you!

7. Chattanooga State has some sort of Oktoberfest, but i don't know the dates. here's the page, though, in case anyone is alumni or currently attending and can find out more info: http://www.chattanoogastate.edu/Campus_Life/cloctfes.asp

8. for the Pet-lovers: Rock City's enchanted maze is having a Howl-o-ween costume contest for your pets on October 22nd, at 2 pm.
i'm defnitely going to have to drag my dog to that. heh. his hulk hogan costume may be finished by then. maybe.

9. I know a local band that is throwing a relatively large halloween party in a private venue on October 29th. there will be beer, and a small admittance fee. if you're interested in going, please let me know and i can give you further info! Smile

10. not exactly costume-related, but i'm sure they'd be jazzed if we wore costumes: the little house of horrors in red bank-- and the money goes to fund breast cancer research. http://www.geocities.com/littlehorrorhouse/Information.html

HEY ALL!
I WAS READING ABOUT OCT EVENTS AND NOTICED THE LITTLE HOUSE OF HORRORS. MY HUSBAND AND I ACTUALLY ARE VOLUNTEERS FOR THEM ALSO FRIENDS,AND THEY NEED ALL THE SUPPORT THEY CAN GET. I AM SURE YOU HAVE SEEN WHAT HAS HAPPENED ON CHANNEL 3. THEY ARE NOW HAVING IT AT THEIR STORE,BEAUTY AND THE BEAST,THANKS TO THE SITUATION.I WILL BE IN MY GOTHY KAGOME COSTUME I WILL JUST BE SITTING AROUND HOLDING DOWN A CHAIR,AND NO TELLING WHAT MY HUBBY IS GOING TO BE! THIS YEAR IS REALLY WICKED AND I KNOW EVERYONE WILL ENJOY IT!

yeah i have seen the story about it on the news, i may try to go and see it sometime, i don't think my knshin cotume would be to scary though...lol but i still paln to go see it, so i hope to see ya there

hey everyone!
the maze will be opening this coming friday at aboout 7:30 pm. we were there last night helping out and we told them we hopefully will have some cosplayers there and they were happy to hear about it. Very Happy

my husband is working it iam not sure where he will be,but once again i will be in the chair.may have a diffrent costume on or depending on if my horse throws me again(it even split my helmet up the back) maybe a body cast Laughing

please tell everyone,they have worked really hard and are great people!
